Industry Minister directs the activation of the Iraqi-German committee

The Minister of Industry and Minerals , Khaled Battal, directed on Monday, the activation of the work of the Iraqi-German committee.
 
The media of the Ministry of Industry stated, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal, directed to activate the work of the Iraqi-German committee, against the background of the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani to Berlin."
 
The Statement added, "Following the directive, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was approached for the purpose of holding a meeting of the committee as soon as possible," noting that "work is underway with the Ministries of Trade and Foreign Affairs to prepare the committee's working paper."
 
Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani confirmed, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), reaching a joint action plan with Germany that would establish an economic partnership.
 
It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister, Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, paid a visit to Germany, during which he met the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, in the German capital, Berlin. 
 
He also met a number of officials in Germany, and a memorandum of understanding was prepared with the German company (Siemens) to increase energy production, improve transmission and distribution, and reduce waste.
