Promises to improve energy, a date for Jordanian linkage completion

    Ministry of Electricity set on Monday, a preliminary date for the completion of the electrical linkage with the Jordanian side, while symptoms were diagnosed in the Gulf linkage process, as it gave promises to improve energy supply within two years.
     
    "The electrical linkage process with the Jordanian side is hoped to be completed in the summer, of next year after the establishment of the power transmission line in western Anbar. Negotiations related to the Gulf linkage are ongoing with the technical side in order to start the power transmission line,” stated the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Adel Karim to the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
     
    He noted, "The Ministry of Electricity sent a large group of projects related to combined cycles in the middle Euphrates and the southern regions to international companies."
     
    Adel expected to start "the process of signing contracts related to increasing energy supply within two months, which in turn will get into service within two years."
     
    "Part of these contracts is implemented in Samawah, Dhi Qar, and the Middle Euphrates, in addition to Kirkuk," he included.
