Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani confirmed, after his participation in the Arab-Chinese summit held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, that Iraq is capable of being a point of convergence between East and West.
Al-Sudani said in a tweet, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Based on our belief in Iraq's capabilities, its strategic geographical location, and its great position on the map of civilization, we participated in the work of the Arab-Chinese summit, which was appropriate to confirm our serious desire to bridge economic and investment relations with our Arab brothers and Chinese friends."
He added, "Iraq, with its weight and capabilities, is able to be a region of convergence between East and West, and our government is determined to establish real partnerships and benefit from the experiences of the region and the world in the economy and development."
