ICRC: 44% of the missing’ families suffer from difficulties

    The official spokesperson of the International Comittee of the Red Cross ICRC said on Thursday that 44% of the families of the missing ( mostly women and children) suffer from psychological and social difficulties as a result of social isolation and problems within the family. 

    Hibba Adnan added that ICRC provided many activitiey that would improve psychological health for people and communities in Iraq, pointing out that 1710 person benefited from these programs. 

    She also said that Iraq lacks trainers specialized in psychological health, adding that there is a psychiatrist for every 250 person which is insufficient to meet all the needs.

    Adnan also added that ICRC is playing a serious role in increasing awareness for the concerned parties to support their ability to meet the needs of the families.
