INA - BAGHDAD Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbusi said on Saturday that “Violence against women in Iraq is not socially spread as wider as it is abroad, yet it is a serious sign that needs to be ended before being uncontrolled,” This came during his proceeding in the Islamic Day Conference to Fight Violence against Women. “a study panel must be held as soon as possible that includes the three presidencies, social scientists, university professors, related security departments and Mass Media to investigate this regard in the Iraqi community to devise the necessary laws against it,” added al-Halbusi. He also explained that there isn’t any power over any Iraqi outside the constitution saying, “No one can impose any specific creed on others and extremism is not legally or constitutionally allowed,” “We will not accept politicizing the crimes against women,” asserted al-Halbusi. @Shahad J Hassan
