Truss announces her resignation from the leadership of the Conservative Party

    British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced today, Thursday, the resigning from her position and leadership of the Conservative Party.

    "We announce our resignation from our position and leadership of the Conservative Party," Terrace said in a speech regarding the political future, and the Iraqi News Agency (INA) followed it, indicating that "the party will choose a new leader for it within a week."

    "I will continue to perform my duties until the selection of a new leader for the Conservative Party," she added, noting, "I informed the King of my decision to resign from the leadership of the Conservative Party, and I will continue to perform my duties until a new leader is chosen."
