Al-Araji receives the Australian Chargé d'Affairs in Baghdad

    National Security Adviser N.S.A Qassim al-Araji stressed on Wednesday, that the survival of Al-Hol camp poses a challenge to Iraq, the region and the international community.

    Al-Araji received in his office today, the Australian Chargé d'Affairs in Baghdad Steven Yates," The media office of the N.S.A said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop in all fields, as well as the file of the Syrian al-Hol camp and the international community's cooperation to dismantle and end the camp, and destroy the financial and human resources of ISIS terrorist gangs.

    Al-Araji stressed, according to the statement, that "the survival of Al-Hol camp poses a challenge to Iraq, the region and the international community, and countries must be encouraged to return their nationals from the camp," stressing "the continuation of the work of Al-Jada'a camp to psychologically rehabilitate the families and return them to their areas,"

    For his part, the Australian Chargé d'Affairs affirmed support for Iraq's efforts to return the families from the Syrian al-Hol camp, reiterating his country's continued support for the sovereignty of Iraq.
