Deputy Head of the Press Office of the US State Department, Vident Patel, announced today, Friday, that the United States will not participate directly in the conflict in Ukraine.
"President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken have made clear that unless there is a direct attack on the United States or our allies, we will not be directly involved in this conflict, whether by sending American soldiers or attacking Russian forces," Patel told reporters.
Zelensky, during a video address to the Australian Lowy Institute, called on NATO to launch "preemptive strikes" against Russia and not wait for Moscow to use nuclear weapons.
