The Joint Operations Command JOC announced on Wednesday its cooperation with the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF to pursue terrorists and prevent their infiltration across the border, noting that the security leadership has a full vision of al-Hol camp.
JOC spokesman, Major General Tahseen al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency INA, that "the security leadership has a complete vision of the Syrian camp of al-Hol," pointing out that "work continues to control and secure the Iraqi-Syrian border."
Al-Khafaji added that "there is a strengthening of the defensive lines on the border with Syria, where two defensive lines have been established: the first is represented by the command of border guards, and the second is represented by the Iraqi army, in addition to concrete barriers and watchtowers."
He pointed out that "there is cooperation with the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF through the international coalition in the intelligence field to pursue terrorists, prevent their infiltration, in addition to cooperation with the Syrian government," explaining that "joint cooperation has made the infiltration into the Iraqi borders very difficult for terrorist groups."
