Iraq becomes a member of AIIB

Iraqi Ambassador to Beijing Shoresh Khalid Saeed received, on Tuesday, from the President of the Asian Investment Bank for Infrastructure AIIB Jin Liqun, a certificate of membership of Iraq's accession to the bank.
Iraq thus became the 92nd member of the Bank.
The decrees receiving the certificate included placing the Iraqi flag within the group of member states at the Bank's headquarters.
AIIB will provide soft loans for the construction of infrastructure to member states, including Iraq.
