A senior security delegation arrived in Najaf province to see the plans and preparations under way to secure a visit to commemorate the death of Prophet Muhammad.
The Joint Operations Command JOC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA, on Wednesday, that "a security delegation headed by Interior Minister Othman Al-Ghanimi, Deputy Commander of Joint Operations General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari and Assistant Chief of Army Staff for Operations Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi to Najaf province to oversee the plans drawn and preparations under way to secure the visit to the anniversary of the death of the Prophet Muhammad and follow up all procedures for the purpose of strengthening the security units in the province and to specify the needs."
