National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji discussed with the deputy head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' intelligence service Hassan Mohaqiq, the strengthening of intelligence cooperation between the two neighboring countries, to control borders and prevent smuggling, pursuit of terrorist groups.
The media office of the National Security Adviser stated in a statement, that "Al-Araji received Mohaqiq in his office today, and the accompanying delegation, and conveyed the deputy head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' intelligence service, his country's thanks to the government and people of Iraq, its people and the Iraqi security services, for what they provided for their Help and generosity during the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
"During the meeting, they discussed strengthening intelligence cooperation between the two countries, to control borders and prevent smuggling, in addition to stressing the importance of continuing to pursue terrorist groups and preventing them from reaching their criminal intentions." The statement added.
Al-Araji renewed, according to the statement, "Iraq's firm refusal to use its territory by the Iranian and Turkish opposition to attack Iran and Turkey, and that the Iraqi government is determined to end this file."
