Electricity Minister follows up providing power in all governorates

    Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim, supervised Friday operations of providing electricity in all governorates.

     A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Minister of Electricity, Adel Karim, supervised in a round-the-clock manner the national control centers to find out the maximum electrical energy for the holy governorates of Karbala and Najaf, according to the directives of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, in order to serve the pilgrims,  and in fulfillment of the requirements of the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein.

     The statement added, "The Minister of Electricity has started on a daily basis to chair the meetings of the ministry's operations room and the crisis cell to discuss keeping pace with securing electricity for the benefit of citizens and in all governorates.

    It also added, "The Minister of Electricity conducted a field visit on Thursday night to the Department of Operation and Control, accompanied by the Director General of the aforementioned department, and met with the assistants and working staff, and instructed them to ensure that the requirements of the Arbaeen pilgrimage are secured, and to stress the observance of the fairness of distribution to the governorates, and the balancing of loads, expressing that" citizens deserve to be served fairly, with their cooperation and their good understanding of the efforts exerted by the Ministry’s staff.”
