A ceremony was held in the US state of Atlanta, today, Saturday, to bid farewell to the body of the martyr Colonel Pilot Ammar Assi Hamdan, who passed away in the United States of America as a result of a drowning accident.
A Defense Ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the ceremony was conducted in the presence of the Iraqi military attache in the United States of America, Major General Muhannad Aboud, Colonel Pilot Staff Yasser Al-Mu'tasim Billah Sharif, Colonel Pilot Jaber Kamel Jaber, Captain Zaid Hassan Jaafar, and the performance team."
He added that "these ceremonies took place despite the difficult weather conditions due to heavy rain," noting that "the body of the martyr was transferred with the rest of the officers who attended the farewell ceremony to the homeland to be buried to his final resting place."
