The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that eighty-nine Iraqi universities and governmental and private colleges had achieved competitive results in the Web Matrix global classification within the second half of 2022.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the official website of the classification ( www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Iraq ) Indicate that the University of Baghdad ranked 1710, while Diyala University came in sequence (1799) and then Al-Mustansiriya University ranked (2578) out of eleven thousand nine hundred and ninety-four universities around the world.
The Web Matrix ranking of the Supreme Center for Scientific Research in Spain, which is issued semi-annually, is based on indicators that measure the virtual presence of universities through their locations and indicate clarity (50%), transparency (10%) and strength and excellence of research (40%).
