Ground Forces Command announced Thursday that it had taken a new decision regarding the training of army units, while it counted the numbers of existing terrorist groups, it revealed the methods of disguise of its members.
Iraqi army training
The Commander of the Ground Forces, Lieutenant-General Qassem al-Muhammadi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the training is considered the base for the Iraqi armed forces, as the more the Iraqi forces are trained, the higher their combat ability," noting that "the training was completed in 2021 and in the first half of this year at the level of the regiment of each division, sequentially.
He continued, "The more collective training is expanded, the greater the benefit," explaining that "the training operations are less in the event of war, and therefore the more opportunity is allowed, the more the training operations increase to raise the readiness of our forces and develop them for the better."
Staff Certificate
Al-Mohammadi indicated that "the staff certificate is a master's degree, as the military college awards a bachelor's degree, but the staff college awards a master's degree."
He stated, "The Iraqi Staff College is one of the best colleges in the world, where the military science is central and comprehensive, and there are also strict controls in this college in order to receive the scientific material at a very high level," explaining that "there are cases of failure that occur in the The first and second years, and therefore the scientific material, study, seriousness in teaching are almost among the best colleges in the world.”
Security assessment of operation headquarters
Al-Muhammadi confirmed, "The Ground Forces Command leads the operations leaders within the movement's arena, starting from Nineveh and the Nineveh Operations Command, passing through the operations leaders of Salah al-Din, Samarra, Anbar, al-Jazeera, Sumer and Maysan down to Basra," explaining, "The security situation in operations headquarters in general is very stable, but There are some areas witnessing enemy activities from time to time, which occur due to the presence of small armed groups that may reach from five to ten detachments of terrorist elements, which are located in remote and desert areas, central islands and caves, which our military sectors cannot easily reach.
He pointed out: "We will continue our operations against the enemy until it is completely eliminated everywhere," noting that "some violations occur within our sectors, but they are followed up and dealt with immediately."
He stated that "work is continuing in all the partitions, the inspections are continuing and the checkpoints are in place, and there are aerial reconnaissance operations day and night with cameras and binoculars."
Al-Mohammadi said, "The weather conditions may be bad, and there is a surprise operation for the enemy from time to time, and there may be inattention and a reaction that is not at the required level," adding, "There is a great pumping of watchtowers and vigorous follow-up of the enemy."
The commander of the ground forces stated, "The enemy has completely lost its areas as a result of coordination between the security forces and citizens and the continuous follow-up and monitoring," stressing that "we are now setting up cameras in some areas, with the citizens setting up cameras as well and cooperating with the existing sectors."
He pointed out that "the enemy is currently present in areas where there are no citizens and far from the eyes of the population and the security forces."
