The UN Representative, Jenin Plasschaert, confirmed that Iraq is demanding the withdrawal of Turkish forces from its lands.
In a speech to the UN Security Council regarding the Turkish attack, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Plasschaert said that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi formed a committee to investigate the attack on Dohuk," noting that "the Iraqi government assigned the bombing in Dohuk to the Turkish forces.".
She added, "The Iraqi government said that it will escalate the issue of the Turkish bombing to the Security Council," noting that "Iraq is demanding the withdrawal of Turkish forces from its territory.".
In conclusion, Plasschaert also added: "Any attacks on Iraqi soil must stop."
