Al-Araji: The government will not fail its people and give up the Iraqi right

    Araji confirmed today, Friday, that the government will not fail its people and give up the Iraqi right in response to the Turkish aggression in Zakho.

    The media office of the National Security Adviser said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Araji attended the closing of the activities of the Al-Ghadeer International Media Festival, which was held under the slogan (media between professionalism and morals), over two days, in the presence of many official and popular figures, to In addition to the participation of Arab and international personalities.

    He added, "Al-Araji gave a speech during the activities of the second day of the festival, in which he confirmed that the Day of Ghadeer was associated with Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and without him, the Day of Ghadeer would not have occurred, and today we are in need of his biography and approach in managing the state.".

    He pointed out, according to the statement, that "Imam Ali (peace be upon him) took an integrated approach that combined strength, firmness, determination, coexistence and acceptance of the other even with his opponents and in the darkest conditions, and his message has remained to this day calling for love and respect.".

    With regard to the media file, Al-Araji stressed that "the media has an important and major role in building the state and institutions, creating public opinion, and guiding society in the correct manner, pointing out that some media institutions played a destructive role in society," explaining that "we are dealing with honest media that is keen on his country and his people.".

    Regarding the Turkish attack in Zakho, he stressed that "the Turkish forces committed a crime against Iraqi civilians in a tourist resort that they came to from many Iraqi provinces, and that these victims are innocent and oppressed," stressing that "the Iraqi government has taken important decisions in this regard, and submitted a complaint to the Security Council. It summoned the Iraqi Chargé d'Affairs in Turkey for consultations, and handed the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad a protest note.

    He pointed out that "the national forces held a meeting in the Prime Minister's office, to take a unified national position in this regard."
