Ministry of Health (MOH) identified on Monday, the best and most successful way to avoid the risk of Corona infections, while noting that COVID cases increased by 30%.
"There is a significant increase in the number of new detected cases of Covid, with fewer hospitalized cases compared to the previous waves that hit Iraq," The Director of the Public Health Department, Riyad Abdul-Amir, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Abdul-Amir added, “There is no need to issue decisions that restrict the movement of citizens and affect their livelihood, stressing the need to suffice with preventive and awareness-raising measures by wearing masks and physical distancing among citizens.”
He pointed out that "the rate of infections reached 30%, and most of them are mild cases," noting that "the only successful way to avoid the risk of infections is to vaccinate, given that field practices in hospitals have proven that most of the patients are unvaccinated."
