The head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayyad, confirmed today, Thursday, that the PMF will not be a tool in the hands of a party, alliance, or political entity, and derives its strength from the confidence of the people.
Al-Fayyad said in his speech during the opening of the new headquarters of the Directorate of Security and Discipline, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the popular Mobilization Forces is included in the future equation of the Iraqi people and remains present in all challenges, and the security challenges have not ended and there is a challenge for the remnants of terrorism and securing the borders.".
He added, "The Popular Mobilization was founded by the sons of Iraq, and its identity is the system of values it possesses in defending the homeland and carrying out duties, and the PMF is always ready to make sacrifices and is advancing whenever there is a danger and a need that serves the interest of the Iraqi people.".
He stressed that "the popular Mobilization Forces will not be a tool in the hands of a party, alliance or political party, and it is a source of concern from the enemies who try to distort its image, because it is the subject of the people's trust and from it derives its strength."
