Joint Operations Command identified (JOC) on Friday, the parties responsible for the security file in Sinjar, while announcing the security of the judiciary’s borders with the Syrian side and the prevention of infiltration and smuggling operations.
The spokesman for JOC, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): " JOC is responsible for managing the Sinjar file in general, and the only body authorized to deal directly within the judiciary is the West Nineveh Operations Command, in addition to the presence of forces from The Iraqi army is protecting the Sinjar border, but internally, there are local police forces."
Al-Khafaji added, "The security forces secured Sinjar's borders with the Syrian side and prevented infiltration operations, as well as preventing any case of smuggling," stressing that "we will continue to provide all services and infrastructure and provide security and safety to everyone who comes to Sinjar."
