The National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji stressed on Wednesday, that our mission is to maintain social cohesion, and we are not interested in political debate.
A statement issued by the media office of the National Security Adviser and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "Al-Araji chaired a meeting of the National Intelligence Coordination Authority (leaders of the Iraqi intelligence community), in the presence of the members of the Authority."
According to the statement, the meeting discussed topics on the agenda, including ways to confront hate speech and extremism that threaten society and civil peace, and directed the formation of a higher committee from the relevant authorities, to prepare a national policy to confront the effects of this topic on society.
