Washington affirms its commitment to work with its partners in Iraq

The US Embassy in Baghdad condemned the recent Erbil attack, while affirming its commitment to working with its partners in Iraq . 

The US embassy said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the United States of America condemns the attack that occurred last night in Erbil, which resulted in civilian casualties and property damage, and stresses that there is no place in Iraq, including the Kurdistan region, for indiscriminate attacks like these." which undermine the authority of the state and threaten the safety and security of the Iraqi people.”.

The embassy added, "The United States affirms its commitment to work with our Iraqi partners and the Kurdistan Region toward our common goal of a secure, stable, prosperous, and democratic Iraq."
