A high-ranking military delegation from the Peshmerga visited on Monday, the Joint Operations Command (JOC) to coordinate the security situation in areas of common security interest.
JOC said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "A military delegation from the Peshmerga visited the headquarters of the Joint Operations Command to coordinate the security situation in areas of common security interest, and to coordinate and exchange intelligence information for carrying out joint Ops later."
He added that "The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant-General Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, the Director General of Intelligence and Security in the Ministry of Defense, and senior officers at JOC, received the delegation."
Al-Shammari lauded "The level of cooperation and coordination between the federal forces and the Peshmerga in all sectors of operations and achieving the common goal of securing areas of common interest and combating ISIS."
