The Ministry of Migration and Displacement revealed obstacles that stand in the way of completing the return of displaced families to Sinjar district, while talking about the direct reason for stopping work on the project to build 100 homes by international organizations in the district.

The ministry's spokesman, Ali Abbas Jahangiz, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the ministry has developed a plan to return the displaced to Sinjar district, which included conducting surveys in coordination with the relevant departments, and it was raised and discussed with the Ministry of Planning and with international organizations," noting that "the recommendations of the plan It was submitted to the Cabinet and approved.

He added, "The plan for the return of the displaced to Sinjar faces obstacles, including the weak financial allocation of the ministry, in addition to the weak financial allocation to international organizations, as they were affected by the Russian-Ukrainian war."

On the reason for stopping the 100-house project in the district, he explained that "the ministry has drawn up with international organizations a plan to build 100 houses in Sinjar, and this number is nothing in front of the destruction there, and this plan was not implemented due to the lack of financial allocation."
