Plasschaert urges international organizations to secure the IDPs requirements in Iraq

    Kirkuk Governor Rakan Saeed al-Jubouri discussed today, Thursday, with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), Jenin Hennis-Plasschaert, the governorate’s political, security and service conditions, and efforts to rebuild the liberated areas.

    The Governor's officestated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "During the meeting, which was held in the Kirkuk governorate office, in the presence of Roma Nazi, the official of the UNAMI mission in Kirkuk, the governor's assistants, the head of the advisory body, and a number of government officials discussed efforts to restore stability and the importance of increasing Supporting international organizations and the United Nations Development Program to expedite the return of the displaced to their liberated areas. 

    In addition to that, the Governor's offices also  added, "The meeting also dealt with the file of the destroyed villages and the importance of quickly resolving the file of detainees, abductees and the disappeared from the Kirkuk governorate and supporting efforts to support international organizations in all fields according to the federal government's vision and directives. The security situation was also studied in all areas of the governorate, especially those witnessing efforts to Pursuing the remnants of terrorism in light of the daily successes of the heroic security forces of all kinds, and the importance of working to eliminate ISIS remnants and efforts to combat drugs. 

    Furthermore, the office added, "The two sides stressed work and coordination in a way that preserves the stability of Kirkuk and enhances opportunities for dialogue and understanding between everyone in a way that serves the citizens of Kirkuk and enhances its security and social stability."
