President Barham Salih received today, Tuesday, an invitation to attend the Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement, that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received today, the Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt to Iraq, Walid Muhammad Ismail," noting that "the ambassador conveyed the greetings of Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi to President Barham Salih, and conveyed to him an official invitation to attend the Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh,
Salih stressed that "Iraqi-Egyptian relations are important, and the need to work to raise the level of cooperation in various political, economic and environmental fields for the benefit of the two countries, and the entire region."
As Ambassador Walid Mohamed Ismail referred to "the Egyptian leadership's pride in relations with Iraq, aspiration towards strengthening it in various fields, and Egypt's commitment to supporting the security and stability of Iraq and its people."
