Iraqi air defenses managed Tuesday, to shoot down a drone that tried to approach a military base west of Baghdad.
The Security Media Cell (SMC) said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The air defenses managed to shoot down a drone that tried to approach, at dawn today, the Martyr Mohammad Alaa Air Base, west of Baghdad."
SMC added, “The operation of shooting down the drone took place after it was monitored, and found that it was not authorized to access this area."
