Ruselectronics holding, part of the Rostec State Corporation, has developed a portable radar station (RLS) to protect critical infrastructure from small drones. This was stated in the press service of Rostec.
They noted that the station is capable of detecting even inconspicuous drones that are in hover mode by rotating the propellers. In addition, the device can be used to search for ground objects: the radar is able to detect a car at a distance of more than 10 km.
As part of the Ruselectronics holding, the development of the radar is carried out by the Rybinsk Instrument Engineering Plant. “The radar can simultaneously track up to 32 targets, and also work in conjunction with other radar monitoring systems.
To date, the station has already passed preliminary tests.– Andrey Komogortsev, General Director of the Rybinsk Instrument-Making Plant, described the novelty.
Rostec is creating a line of various means of combating UAVs. Among them are the Rat multifunctional mobile complex with a laser destruction system, the Ataka-DBS anti-civil UAV complex and electromagnetic guns.
