Iraq stresses the necessity of joint international and regional cooperation to confront the immediate global challenges

    Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein, stressed today, Thursday, the necessity of joint international and regional cooperation to confront the immediate global challenges.

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein received Matthew Tueller, the Ambassador of the United States of America, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic duties in Baghdad, and during the meeting, the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington during the last period was reviewed, looking forward to To witness a qualitative improvement in the interests of the two friendly peoples.”
    The statement added, "The minister wished the ambassador success in his future diplomatic duties, calling for the importance of activating means of bilateral cooperation in order to achieve the interests of both countries.".

    The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for joint international and regional cooperation to confront the immediate global challenges, most notably continuing to combat terrorism and extremism, addressing economic fluctuations and health crises, and confronting severe climate changes that pose a threat to all.

    For his part, the US ambassador affirmed his country's continuous support for Iraq in various fields, especially in the fight against ISIS terrorist gangs and climate change, extending his thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which contributed to the success of his diplomatic work in Baghdad.
