The Kirkuk Health Department announced, on Friday evening, 61 cases of suffocation due to the Sandstorm.
The Director-General of Kirkuk Health, Nabil Hamdi Bushnaq, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the hospitals of the Kirkuk Health Department recorded today, Friday, 61 cases of suffocation in the province due to the Sandstorm," noting that "most of the cases are for elderly people in Daquq district, and all cases are stable."
He stressed the need for citizens to wear masks when leaving the house and only for the utmost necessity to avoid Sandstorm damage to health.
