The Inspectorate of Babylon Antiquities and Heritage announced the opening of the gates of the ancient city to Arab and foreign visitors and tourists during the days of the blessed Eid al
-Fitr.
Inspector Hussein Falih Al-Shammari said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "it was decided to open the gates of the archaeological city of Babylon to Arab and foreign visitors and tourists during the days of Eid Al-Fitr to see the historical civilization of Babylon after it had been prepared from all sides.".
He added, "A large number of guides and tour guides were provided for the purpose of providing information about the city, its history, temples, famous theater, palaces, and others."
