Hussein calls on Australia to strengthen investment and trade cooperation

    The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, called today, Thursday, to strengthen prospects for cooperation in the field of investment and trade exchange between Iraq and Australia. 

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Hussain met Australia's ambassador to Iraq, Paula Elizabeth Canley, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the two sides discussed the bilateral relations linking the two countries, and the importance of developing them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples, and they also discussed support for mutual exchange in international forums and conferences. 

    Hussein called, according to the statement, to "enhance prospects for cooperation in the field of investment and trade exchange between the two countries through the entry of Australian investors and businessmen to Iraq, and to learn about investment opportunities.".

    For her part, affirmed her country's continued assistance and support in many fields, and its desire to activate memoranda of cooperation between the two countries to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.
