    Plasschaert: Decisive collective actions is urgently needed regarding IDPs in Syria

    The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert stressed Saturday, the urgent need to take decisive action regarding the displaced in Syria.

    Plasschaert said during her speech at the conference held by Al-Rafidain Center for Studies and attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): In the past two months in series of round tables between the governments and of Iraq and the United Nations, were organized to collectively address many critical and sensitive questions surrounding the return, the rehabilitation, reintegration and where necessary, the prosecution of individuals displaced in north east Syria, now there is no denying it and has already explained, this is uniquely challenging context, and while certain developments deserve our full commendation and support, others are deeply preoccupying. Reminding us that time is the essence, reminding us that decisive collective action is urgently needed.
     
    It’s to be mentioned that the National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji confirmed Saturday, that most of Daesh leaders are in prisons.
     
    Al-Araji said during his speech at the conference held by the Al-Rafidain Center for Studies ,that  attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): " Al-Hol camp in eastern Syria represents a real threat," noting that "there are more than 12 thousand terrorists belong to the Syrian Democratic Forces, and there are many  attempts by ISIS to break these prisons."
