the Council of National Security Agents held its eighth session for the year 2022, headed by National Security Adviser, Qasim Al-Araji, and in the presence of members of the Council.
A statement by the Media Office of the National Security Adviser, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the council discussed the topics on its agenda and took the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding it," noting that "the council agreed to conclude (the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Defense and the NATO group)."
With regard to the issue of (the Security-Intelligence Center in the Iraqi Reform Department), "the Council directed the formation of a joint committee to reconsider, review, and clarify what is related to defining the tasks, authorities, and coordination mechanisms between them and preventing potential intersections."
