The Iraqi Media Network pledged today, Saturday, to print the books of the Sheikh of Iraqi journalists, Mohsen Hussein Jawad, and celebrate him as one of the country's press icons.

The head of the network, Dr. Nabil Jassim, said, during his meeting with the Sheikh of Journalists, Mohsen Hussein, that "the long career of journalist Mohsen Hussein Jawad deserves all appreciation and respect, which began about 66 years ago without stopping," noting that "the least that can be offered to this journalistic stature is to print his writings and celebrating his great achievement.

He added, "The Iraqi Media Network made a good effort during the Arab League meetings last year 2021, and Jawad was added among the names of the pioneering journalists with the aim of honoring him.".

For his part, Jawad praised the performance of the Iraqi Media Network, especially during the recent period, and the development of its media discourse in many joints.

Mohsen Hussein Jawad, born in 1934, began his work in the Iraqi press in the middle of 1956, and contributed to the establishment of the Iraqi News Agency in 1959, and became an assistant to its director general, while before that date he was moving between several newspapers and magazines, including Al Shaab, My Country, Baghdad Radio and Al Gomhuria After the fall of the monarchy in 1958.
