The Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media, Dr. Nabil Jassem, confirmed today, Thursday, that the committee discussed the Palestinian cause and the mechanism for confronting extremist ideology.
"We have the honor in Baghdad (The land of peace) to host the work of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information, as this is the first time that Iraq chaired the Committee on Arab Information," said Dr. Nabil Jassim, speaking during the regular meeting of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information at its 14th session in Baghdad.
He added, "I hope that the chairmanship of Iraq will constitute an additional and continuous impetus in the joint Arab solidarity at the media level that faces challenges," noting that "the committee discussed important details during the past two days related to the Palestinian cause and other challenges, including what the Arab world faces from extremist ideology and mechanisms to confront it, as well as the concepts of the Arab foreign strategy and sustainable development. "
Jassim continued: "We in the committee are exerting utmost efforts in order to achieve joint work, and we hope we will be successful in this endeavor."
