130 artists in Palestine International Exhibition, Baghdad

130 international artists from 36 countries participated on Wednesday, in the first Palestine International Exhibition of Caricature.

”The main concept, firstly, is the Palestinian cause, that has been marred by a lot of distortion and ambiguity. Secondly, the revival of the art of caricature and our dream was a global exhibition in Baghdad. The exhibition included 130 artists, 700 paintings 200 of which were selected for the solo exhibition, said the head of the exhibition's organizing committee, cartoonist Ali Ateb, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, "The exhibition is the largest of its kind in the Middle East, and after holding it in Baghdad, there will be a second one in Karbala, Al-Qushla, Basra and Nasiriyah, as there is an invitation also from Mosul, in addition to other ones from the provinces,”
