The Directorate of Sports and Youth in Maysan confirmed today, Thursday, the completion of the technical procedures for the launch of the first Al-Amara Film Festival.

The Director of Sports and Youth in Maysan, Sharif Al-Bakhti, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the first Al-Amarah Film Festival will start soon, with local, Arab and international participation," stressing that "all the technical issues of the festival will be completed."

He pointed out, "The door for submission of cinematographic works is closed," noting that "the festival administration will announce in the coming days the films that have been nominated to participate in the festival.".

Al-Bakhti added, "The festival is the first of its kind in Maysan and as an important step in encouraging work in the field of art."
