A den for smuggling oil derivatives seized in Maysan

Southern Oil Police Directorate announced Thursday the seizure of a hideout for smuggling oil derivatives in Maysan.
 
The directorate said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "A joint force from the thirteenth regiment and the Maysan oil police station, and based on intelligence information by the Maysan Governorate Intelligence Directorate and the Energy Police Intelligence Directorate and with the support of the Maysan Operations Command, managed to seize a den used for smuggling and trading in oil derivatives in the province.
 
It added, "The force found tanks containing violating oil products," noting that "they arrested the owner of the den, and his investigation papers and the seizures were presented to the competent investigative judge in accordance with the Oil and Derivatives Smuggling Law No. 41 of 2008."
