PM: The Iraqi market welcomes German companies and investments

    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi congratulated today, Thursday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, on the occasion of assuming his position while confirming the Iraqi market's welcome to German companies and investments.

    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Kadhimi discussed, in a phone call with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the bilateral relations between the two countries and congratulated him on the occasion of assuming the duties of his position, wishing that relations between the two countries would witness further progress and prosperity.".

    Al-Kadhimi highlighted the importance of the German role in participating in the war on terrorism, in which Iraq plays the role of the first responder, and the importance of security and intelligence cooperation in the field of combating terrorism.

    The telephone talks, according to the statement, emphasized the importance of investment and the willingness of German companies to participate in the construction of infrastructure projects, and the Prime Minister confirmed the Iraqi market's welcome to German companies and investments.

    The contact touched on the conditions of Iraqi immigrants and the measures taken to maintain their security and safety. The German chancellor praised the growing role of Iraq regionally in convergence of views and calm, and welcomed Iraq's efforts in the areas of economic reform, and the positive steps taken by the government on the reform path; This enhances opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, according to the statement.
