PM stresses the need to take precaution to anyone who threatens the security of Basra

    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi stressed today, Thursday,  the need to take precaution, caution, and not be complacent against anyone who threatens the security of Basra.

    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi chaired, today, Thursday, a meeting that included military and security leaders in Basra Governorate, during his visit to the province today."

    He added, "Al-Kadhimi listened to a briefing about the security situation in the province, and the security services' plan to secure the cities, districts, and external roads linking Basra and the rest of the provinces," noting that he "followed the details of the security and intelligence effort, the level of reserve and mobilization, as well as daily work plans, and plans for emergency adopted by our security forces."

    Al-Kadhimi stressed, "the need to take precaution, caution and not be complacent about everything that threatens the security and stability of Basra, and the importance of following up on organized crime gangs, prosecuting their members and bringing them to justice without the slightest complacency."
