The Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization, with the participation of army, police and security services, carried out a large-scale operation to track down the remnants of the terrorist Daesh south of Mosul.
A statement to the media of the Popular Mobilization received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the 25th and 44th brigades of the PMF, the special regiment, and military engineering, began a wide military operation with the support of the army, police, intelligence and national security units to track down the remnants of Daesh in the extended Hadher desert among the three governorates of Nineveh, Salah al-Din and Anbar."
The statement added, "The operation included entering deep into the southern desert and examining the security situation that occurred yesterday, after targeting Daesh terrorists by the air hawks, and killed three of terrorists."
