The head of the National Security Service, Hamid Al-Shatri, discussed the files of organized crime and drugs in Najaf province.
“I have briefed about the nature of the threats in the province," stressing that "the National Security Service will work to secure the situation in the province," Al-Shatri said during a press conference attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) .
He also pointed out that "The challenges facing the province and the plans to address all of them were discussed."
For his part, The First Deputy Governor of Najaf, Al-Ashraf Hashem Al-Karaawi, said that "the meeting discussed the importance of Najaf as a tourist city and the need to accurately address the drug file," noting that "effective coordination was carried out with the National Security Service to stabilize the security file."
