The head of the Counter-Terrorism Service - CTS, Lieutenant-General Abdul-Wahhab Al-Saadi, vowed on Monday, to pursue and eliminate the remnants of Daesh terrorist gangs in Diyala and Kirkuk.
"We made a promise to our Iraqi people to pursue the remnants of Daesh terrorist gangs, punish them, and cleanse the land of Iraq from them," said Al-Saadi to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "The pursuit of Daesh remnants has entered a new chapter, and we will cleanse the land of Iraq, along with the armed forces, from terrorism and not allow anyone who tries to compromise the security of the citizen,"
