Security media cell announced Sunday the launch of security operations in three provinces, to hunt down the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs and fight crime in all its forms.
"Under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command, and according to accurate intelligence, security forces this morning launched three proactive operations, the first southwest of Al-Rutbah district through the 5th Division and the Anbar Operations Command," said a statement from the media cell, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The second was launched west of Al-Tharthar, carried out by the forces of the Salah al-Din operations command and the forces that are in contact with it, while the third operation came south of the urban district in Nineveh province, in which the 20th Division and the forces of the group participated with the Operations Command west of Nineveh," he said.
"These operations come in conjunction with the pursuit of remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, the clearing of territory, the fight against crime in all its forms and the creation of a safe environment," the statement said.
