Salih and Al-Kadhimi affirm the support of the security services in pursuing the remnants of terrorism

The President of the Republic Dr. Barham Salih  and the Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi affirmed the support of the security services in pursuing the remnants of terrorism, while stressing the security of Iraq's stability and its pivotal role. 

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "President Salih received at the Baghdad Palace, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi," noting that "the general situation in the country was discussed and the emphasis on protecting and consolidating stability, and preserving the security and safety of citizens." Strengthening the authority of the state and supporting the security services in pursuing terrorist cells that seek to destabilize security and stability in some cities and close loopholes. 

The office added that "the two sides stressed the importance of solidarity and closeness of the national ranks, support of dialogue and convergence in resolving outstanding issues, moving towards the national entitlements that await the country, focusing on the needs of citizens and improving living and service conditions," noting that "the importance of easing regional tensions, was emphasized besid securing Iraq's stability, sovereignty, and pivotal role in the region.
