Gas prices in Europe and Britain rose today, Tuesday, to their highest levels ever, due to the strong demand for these resources in winter and the escalation of geopolitical rifts between Russia the main supplier and consuming countries.
The Dutch TTF benchmark in Europe reached 162,775 euros per megawatt-hour and gas prices in Britain soared to 408.30 pence per unit in late morning deals.
