The conference of ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab world was held on Sunday at its 22nd session in the United Arab Emirates with the participation of Iraq.
"With the participation of Culture Minister Hassan Nazim, the conference of ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab world was held at its 22nd session in the United Arab Emirates and on the agenda of the conference is a summit to celebrate Arabic to coincide with its international day, which is on the 18th December of each year," said a statement from the Ministry of Culture received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The conference was organized by the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre under the theme "Dialogue of Societies and The Communication of Civilizations" in conjunction with the 22nd session of the Conference of Ministers responsible for Cultural Affairs in the Arab World," the statement said.
UAE Minister of Culture and Youth Noura Bint Mohammed al-Kaabi welcomed the event at Expo 2020 Dubai, the world's largest cultural platform, celebrating the diversity of human cultures and providing an opportunity to learn about the cultures of 192 countries.
The summit focuses on a number of topics, most notably the second version of the state and future report issued by the Ministry, in partnership with the Advisory Council on Arabic Language, discussing the most important findings and recommendations of the first report issued in December 2020, and discussing ways of cooperation to launch and develop new projects in the field of Arabic language.
"The summit will discuss the most important issues of the Arabic language in its various fields and topics in education, national policies, technology, and the relationship of Arab youth to their language, digital content and Arabic in the new worlds."
