Culture Ministry agrees with German Institute of Antiquities to retrain Iraqi cadres

    The General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage one of the departments of the Ministry of Culture discussed on Wednesday, with the German Institute of Antiquities files of common interest, noting that the mechanisms for starting summer training courses for Iraqi cadres were discussed after they stopped due to Corona.

    "The head of the Antiquities and Heritage Authority, Laith Majid Hussein, met with the President of the German Institute of Antiquities at the Institute's headquarters in Berlin, as well as the presence of the Director of the Oriental Section of the German Institute of Antiquities Margarita van Ace," said a reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    "The two sides discussed many files of common interest to the institute's excavation work in Al-Warka, Al-Hirah and future plans in cooperation with several parties for research and exploration work in the cities of Babylon and Ashur, as well as that ways and mechanisms for the start of summer training courses for Iraqi cadres were reviewed after they were suspended due to the Corona pandemic," he said.
     
    "The German Institute of Antiquities has granted membership to the President of the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage Laith Majid Hussein in a ceremony at the institute's headquarters by the director of the Oriental department of the Institute Margarita van Ace," he said.
